Catering ServicesWe operate a wide range of train based catering services as detailed below. You can either book online or download a .pdf version of the booking form. If you don't have Adobe Acrobat you can download it free of charge by following the link.Sunday LunchOur Mid-day Midlander Sunday Lunch Services will run on March 18th (Mothering Sunday), April 15th, May 20th, June 17th (Fathers' Day), July 15th, September 16th, October 21st.Our special price (which includes your train fare) is only £22.50 for adults and £11.50 for children.
Early booking is advised although we can take bookings up to the day before the meal, subject to room being available.
Afternoon TeasA traditional afternoon tea of sandwiches and cream cakes washed down with as many cups of tea or coffee as you can drink whilst travelling through the Derbyshire countryside on board one of the Midland Railway Centre's trains.The Afternoon Tea is available for parties of 20 or more (or subject to a minimum charge of £179) on any day when the trains are operating.
Several variations are available. You can simply enjoy your tea whilst having one round trip or you can travel on an earlier train, look around our Museum and Country Park and then join your train for tea later in the day.
Please advise us of any special diets that may be needed and if any of your party are confined to wheelchairs so that we can make the necessary arrangements. All this at a cost of £8.95 each - including your train fare.
The Lunchtime Yuletider - a Lunchtime Treat with a Visit from Santa ClausEnjoy a traditional Christmas Lunch served aboard one of our preserved Midlander dining cars which will be hauled by one of our restored locomotives.As the meal is served treat yourself to a Christmas tipple from the Midlander bar which carries a wide range of beers, wines and spirits and non alcoholic drinks.
Our Yuletider trains depart from Butterley Station on:- Sunday 18th November and 25th November. The trains depart at 12.30 from Butterley
