13. People's Millions Success. The Trust have been given a grant of £80,000 to purchase land to add to the Country Park. The money will also allow the Trust to put a footbridge over the railway, create accessible
paths through the area and provide interpretive information. The award was made after an initial selection process and then put to a public vote on local television. The photograph shows the presentation of a cheque for £80,000. |
